Privacy Policy

A short, plain-language summary of how this site handles privacy.

HypeVoro uses basic analytics to understand how visitors use the focus game and which guides readers find useful. Analytics, advertising and embedded content such as YouTube videos may set cookies or collect standard device and usage information.

Personal bests, completed play counts and daily challenge dates and scores are stored in this browser’s local storage. They are not an account or a public leaderboard. Clearing browser data removes this progress. Friend links include a game seed, score, rules version and, for daily rounds, the challenge date; anyone with the link can read those values. Shared scores are not independently verified.

The public Focus Index reports aggregate, anonymous game statistics. A finished round sends one anonymous summary to our collector only if you explicitly opt in using the checkbox in the game (off by default; advertising or analytics settings do not control it). The summary contains the game/scoring version, mode, correct and wrong answers, fictional distractions opened and resisted, accuracy and response-time summaries, per-stage counts, active seconds, pause count, a coarse device category and the UTC start day — plus a fresh random ID used only to drop retried duplicates. No names, emails, IP addresses, precise location, full URLs, fingerprints, advertising IDs, tap timestamps or play histories are collected. Test rounds are excluded. Production collection is disabled until its storage is configured; nothing is sent meanwhile.

After a round, the results screen may show one optional question: where you first heard about HypeVoro. It is a fixed list of seven choices, with no free-text field, no account and no reward. It cannot delay or block your results, replay or challenge link. Your answer — or the fact that you skipped it — is remembered in this browser's local storage only, and the question is not shown again on this browser. At the time this policy was written the answer is not sent anywhere: the site has no analytics consent mechanism, so there is no permission under which it could be transmitted. It is kept separate from the referrer data described above — what you first heard about the site and which page opened your visit are different things.

We do not sell personal information. If you have questions about privacy on HypeVoro, please visit our contact page.
